Why skin is my thing

I had cystic acne as a teenager, and it was rough. It made me obsessed with understanding skin: how it works, what it needs, and why clean tools and good hygiene matter so much. That's why I'm a bit of a skin science nerd today. I know how it feels to be self-conscious about your skin, so I'll never make you feel judged in my chair.

I'm a one-artist business, so the person you message is the person who turns up. Skin prep, a proper shade match, and good energy every time.

Your exact shade. Mixed fresh, every time.

No two skin tones are the same, so I don't grab a shade off the shelf. I mix yours from scratch using colour theory, which is simply how colours balance each other on a colour wheel. No jargon, I promise.

1. I read your skin
Every skin has an undertone: warm, cool or neutral. It's the colour sitting underneath your skin's surface. I check it in daylight-balanced light, so we match the real you.
2. I mix your match
With shade adjusters (tiny drops of pure colour) and the primary colours, red, yellow and blue, I tweak your foundation until it melts into your skin. Too pink, too yellow or too ashy? Easy fix.
3. I cancel out what you don't love
Opposite colours on the wheel cancel each other out. Redness meets green, dark circles meet peach, so nothing needs heavy cover-up.
